Fixing Supper with Rayna

Last night I fixed spaghetti and meatsauce for supper. Rayna insisted on helping so I let her stir the meat some. She then told me to call her when it comes time to put in the noodles. She of course came back before it was time and wanted to lick the tomato sauce cans clean. I went ahead and let her do it and she had a very red face before she was done!

I said to her, "All this stuff is BLOOD! It makes the meat all nice and blood red!!! Their factories make this stuff a lot in Halloween" Rayna gasped and looked kinda shocked and stared at me as though I was a murderer or something!

Then Mom went and spoiled it all by saying, "She's lying Rayna! It's not blood it's tomato sauce!!!" Rayna looked happier after that.

As we were eating Mom said, "Thank you for fixing the spaghetti tonight Darcy!" Rayna indignantly exclaimed, "I did MOST of it Mom!" When we started laughing she turned her head and stuck up her nose and glared at us as if we were all total jerks!!!!!!! I said that she spent most of her time on licking the tomato sauce cans. She nodded her head and looked very proud of herself!

But, here's a thought.... Buy a roll of duct tape and cover the floor with it, sticky side up. You can jump across it to get away from her, but, she will have to crawl across it. That might help slow her down a bit the next time she is pestering you! If she's too noisy, a little piece might be useful for her mouth!!! (believe me, I would love to do this to my brother and sister but, I can't. Your grandkids can come and use the obsticle course too!!! fun, fun, fun!!!) OH MY GOODNESS!!! I almost forgot the most important thing if you want to REALLY get those joints amovin'!
