Dear Bats,
Hi, I just found your Blog with my cool grandma. She is the best. I'm 11 years old. I just switched schools. Im in 6th grade and love horses.
I have a Question:How to have patience with my 1 year old little sister. She is a pest. I love her to death but sometimes she can be a pest. but she is so cute. Thanks- Horse lover.

Hi! I would've answered sooner but, on the weekends I don't do much in the way of blogging on weekends.
I have a 4 year old sister and a 8 year old brother and I know how you feel. I wanna beat them up a lot of times. I don't do patience very well so I wouldn't know what to tell you to do. But, here's a thought....
Buy a roll of duct tape and cover the floor with it, sticky side up. You can jump across it to get away from her, but, she will have to crawl across it. That might help slow her down a bit the next time she is pestering you! If she's too noisy, a little piece might be useful for her mouth!!! (believe me, I would love to do this to my brother and sister but, I can't. You proabably can't either but, it's worth a shot!!!)

Dear Bats,
I had knee surgery a year ago and the therapy people gave me some knee exercises to do. I asked him how long I'd need to take them and he responded: all your life! Well, as you can guess, I got interested in some other exercises and dropped those. Now I can't find my paper that showed the exercises and I don't need to tell you that my memory is such that I do not remember them! Can you tell me where they are or give me some of your own that would help the knee area? Thanks!--Grannygreenweed

Dear grannygreenweed, So you are trying to find this um, paper huh?
Suppose you try looking under the bird bath in your back yard.
Or, um, under the bed. (that's where you'll find a LOT of my stuff!)
Or, try the garage.
Or, go looking in the trash can.(hehehehehe) I WOULD have a pic to put with this comment but, mom deleted it off her computer. );
Ok. Back to question. Did you look under the mattress. I hide things there every so often!
Ok enough looking places.
Exercise.
happy.
Now for a REALLY good knee exercise plan. Come over to my house and do EVERYTHING Rayna does!!!
That'll get ya on the run!
And especially for the knees hmmmmmmm..... Do 100 jumping jacks every day! HA!
OH, OH, OH, OH!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Try this. Build an obsticle course and go through it 3 times a day! Now here's the catch. DO THE OBSTICLE COURSE ON YOUR KNEES!!! (psssst. Your grandkids can come and use the obsticle course too!!! fun, fun, fun!!!) OH MY GOODNESS!!! I almost forgot the most important thing if you want to REALLY get those joints amovin'! Run 10 laps around your neighborhood and you'll be just fine!

Q # 2
Dear Bats,
I was thinking about dying my hair purplish-black today and maybe adding a few spikey strands on top. What attire do you think I should purchase to compliment my new style?
Sincerely,
Wondering in Wisconsin

Dear Wondering in Wisconsin,
I say that you should get some long pink tights along with 5 inch black, high heeled shoes with a pink and purple long sleeved (well it's almost winter isn't it??) shirt. Oh I almost forgot! Get a denim (I think thats how you spell it!) skirt to go over the tights!
Now that's what I call style!!!!!
Thanks 4 writing!

Dear Bats,
I have a problem. My eleven year old daughter has begun getting a bad attitude (sulking and acting like I the biggest annoyance in her life). What do you suggest?

Bats' Counsel:
Dear Head Banger,
You NUT!!!!!! 11 year olds are very kind, nice and loveable and very allergic to bat attitudes! The ones who are addicted to bad attitudes are 4-10 year olds! NOT 11 year olds!

One for Sorrow, Two for Joy
This is a poem that I read in my book and thought was cool.
One for Sorrow,
Two for Joy
three for a girl,
four for a boy
five for silver,
six for gold
seven for a secret,
never been told...
